We've been getting a good amount of thunderstorms lately... and one of the nights - we lost power in a bit of a scary way. On/off/on/off- and each time, you heard the "zoom" sound it made when it came on and off. The next night, we had some really loud thunder and the kids were too scared to sleep in their own room - so they camped out with every single stuffed animal we have in the house :)
I lit a tea light candle in case the power went out we'd still have light and had 2 small and 1 big flashlight waiting nearby. Power never went out and the kids fell asleep almost instantly watching old Popeye cartoons (a favorite in this house) - it all worked out... and of course, they were too cute with their piles of animals and I had to take a picture :)

Popeye was my favorite when I was a kid. Ask Gramma! Though now I think those cartoons are really for adults, if you listen to Popeye's constant mumbling - it's very funny.
Constant mumbling under the breath. Hrm, I think I remember a certain dad from my childhood that did that..
