Charlie's various landing spots

Natalie asked if Charlie could fly, after just spending a little hand time with him I decided we could give flying a try with the kids around and no Christopher to help me keep him safe. His first landing was on the camera bag, he did really well! Natalie told Charlie to get off in a very stern voice, "that is daddy's favorite bag Charlie!!" -- I told her it was okay and the bird was just sitting on it.

We tried it a few times after that without any issue. Then, one time and he landed on the deer. After the picture, she grabbed the dear - she was jealous that the bird was on her "very favorite moose".

"CHARLIE! THAT'S MY FAVORITE HOMEWORK. BAD BIRDY" and so, we were finally done.

In terms of trying to get Natalie to let it be okay, I don't know what to do. I'm not sure Chris would have said much except "it's okay Natalie, he just wants to sit there, he's not hurting anymore" so that's what I tried to do and it seemed to work okay for a while until the last landing on her schoolwork. (I should be glad that she likes homeschool though, haha)
